What happens at REBEL DYKES FILM CLUB?

We're holding a free social online Rebel Dykes Film Club on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays every month until August 6th 2020. We share Dyke Cult Classic films from or set in 1980s and  90s.   This is a COVID initiative to help with isolation amongst dykes of all generations.

You need to book your ticket for the REBEL DYKES FILM CLUB by 5pm BST on the day of the club as that is when the links to the Zoom and to stream the film are sent out to you. Check your spam!  This ticket is free as we receive some funding from Film Hub Scotland

The Film Club runs from 7pm - 10pm (ish) BST. After a bit of an intro, you'll stream the film in your own home - the cost is around £3.50.  Some films we will be sharing are free to stream.

Then we'll get together sometime around 9.30pm BST for something special. Sometimes this is a beautiful Lesbian celeb from Hollywood such as Guinevere Turner, sometimes it's hot butch professor, Jack Halberstam.

The whole event is social,  chilled out and drop in.

Film Club is for dykes and allies of all genders, all generations (over 18).

Access Info

We can cc/subtitle zoom events live using Ottr Software, please email us on in advance for instructions.

The films we'll be viewing together will be via links to popular pay per view sites such as Google Play or Amazon Prime - so you will be able to use their cc function.

Occasionally we will share films direct from filmmakers own sites or Vimeo, and in these cases subtitling will be more challenging, but we may be able to use Ottr for this too.
